Found an interesting article today that was written by a conservative blogger. I’ve never considered myself a conservative, but I could definitely agree with several of their principles. There are limits to what should be managed by a government and there is a place for capitalism to thrive within a well regulated market. I am not going to digress into the argument about why a market must be regulated, but in short without regulation to create constraints, capitalism has no reason to innovate. This article isn’t about that, it points out is what your good friends at Fox Noise call conservatism is somewhat of a misnomer. Ever since Reagan, they’ve moved to only one political strategy: demagoguery. The biggest loser in this whole situation is America, since the only opposition to the Democrats now is a bunch of drooling fanatics rather than a strong conservative counterpoint.
